Mapoon is located at Port Musgrave, Western Cape York in Far North Queensland, Mapoon is a harmonious, remote Aboriginal community with beautiful beaches and rich culture. The town has a small shop providing fuel, food and ATM. The Mapoon community has an Alcohol Management Plan in place, with restrictions on the amount and type of liquor that may be carried on persons or vehicles in the area. Observing the restrictions is a must for all visitors to our community.
